I’ve tried so many diets over the years such as Atkins, Ideal Protein, Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem and many others which have had varying levels of success. The main problem with all these diets is that once I lost the weight, I very quickly put it all back on again. I really wish I’d known about Healthy Weight Strategies before I tried all these diets because I didn’t realise dieting was actually messing up my metabolism. It’s taken some time but with the practical tasks and theory in this program, I have been able to maintain my ideal weight and it has changed my lifestyle so that I am no longer yoyoing up and down in weight. I started this course primarily to lose weight but also for a few health concerns such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol. After 3 months I am just amazed at the change it has made with my relationship with food and my general well-being. The health benefits I was looking for have actually been secondary as I’ve felt happier, I’m sleeping better and I have a lot more energy throughout the day. I managed to lose 10kg or around 1.5 stones, my blood pressure dropped from 159/96 to 129/80 and my cholesterol has dropped from 6.9 to 5.8.

The most impressive thing about this course is it is very different from the traditional idea of going on a diet to improve health. It changes your mindset on how you view food and it’s something that you can take on board easily and apply for the rest of your life.

When you think about the financial impact of poor health, this course is such a bargain. Highly recommended!

I’ve been using this course for over a year.  It is for 15 weeks but I found it very helpful to keep going  back to.  I recommend this course to anyone trying to eat healthier, and get out of bad habits with food.  It really helps you to notice patterns in your behaviour and explore why you do what you do, as well as challenging you to change your diet in a gradual way.  I have lost weight, but more importantly I have learnt not to focus overly on my weight! I have far more energy, I am fit now and also deal with stress much more effectively as a result of this course! It covers many different aspects, I will keep going back to it any time I need to in the future.
